We have a female Finnish Spitz, we call Angel, that had been abused before we adopted her. She desperately needs a companion and gets along well with other dogs, however she becomes very jealous when we show any attention to other dogs (or cats, for that matter), but she also acts very maternal to smaller creatures. Angel's jealousy causes her to become depressed and anxious, as if she worries that she will be replaced. She is about five years old and we believe that we could solve the problem by allowing her to have a litter of puppies and giving her "pick of the litter." We don't have a lot of money and since she has no papers, I am hoping to find someone who might be willing to work out some sort of deal in order to give our sweet "Angel" the companionship, without the jealousy, that we feel she desperately needs. |
