I don’t know what went wrong but we’d missed it. So then Phil had to go to work on another project and I had to mix the album all over again myself. I did it at a studio in Dyersville in Woodstock. The studio was only half built. I did the best I could with the engineer. I did it much better than in Miami and the guys came by and listened to it and said: “Wow it sounds great, much better.” I didn’t make a big issue of it, as everyone was so happy, but I knew deep down that it was not as good as it should be. So when this came up a few months ago, I said: “I’d like to mix the album all over again as I missed it first time.” My son and I mixed it and we tried to make it sound as glorious and beautiful as we could. This album has the Friday night show sounding as real and raw as the night itself. I’d never heard it that way before. I was just thrilled as it’s been a thorn in my side for all these years."
