He was respectful to the point of awkwardness, whereas Lewis has an ego that won't allow him to ba anything BUT a firebrand. It's like it kills Flacco to be the center of attention, and likewise kills Lewis NOT to be. The had to have known that upon drafting both of these guys and should have been prepared for the outcome. At this point I'm past Flacco's disinterest in exhibiting noticeable "leadership" per se, but I can't stand his apparent lack of a sense of urgency. Whether you want to call audibling and adjusting on the fly "leadership" or not, to me it's a necessary part of running a modern day NFL Offense and he just doesn't seem to embrace it, and it has held the offense back, SB or not. He's got the tools and experience, just ramp up the motor some.
