We have lots of land and will consider an electric fence. There are two other dogs in our compound. The retriever is lovely and obeys commands. The other, a large dog mostly collie is often on a leash. He is devoted to his owner, my sister in law. The reason that I want a dog is for companionship as I am alone alot and am awake many nights.
