Carob's Bloodhounds, first of all, we would like to give you a very big Thank You for helping us pick our first Bloodhound, we had been searching for over a year, and had been to many websites, but we always came back to yours. We are just so happy with our new boy, he is just beautiful, smart, and such a joy to have around, even though he is just our 4-legged pet, he is the talk of the town still, more people come to see him at the Post Office every day, all the kids just love him, as well as the adults, and we have given out your web address to many others.. Recently we purchased a purebred bloodhound from Carol McDowell and enjoyed the entire process. We have not ever had a bloodhound before, but had done quite a bit of research about them. Still, we were not entirely sure what to expect. We shared our concerns about different issues, and Carol was awesome about getting back to us quickly and with honest answers about the breed. We never felt pressured to purchase one of her puppies, but rather to be sure that we were ready to take on everything that comes with the breed.
While Carol lives in Colorado, we live in Idaho. We were very skeptical about purchasing a puppy from so far away when we were not able to see them or be around them. Carol made us feel very comfortable about the entire process by sending us multiple pictures of all the puppies she had available and telling us about their personalities. We were asked what type of personality we wanted and then she focused the pictures on the puppies with the qualities we were looking for: medium sized, healthy, and very outgoing. When we decided exactly which puppy we wanted and the date that we would get him (not even a week later!), Carol even offered to drive half of what was going to be a twelve hour drive for us for an additional cost.
The day that we got our puppy, we realized that everything was exactly what we had expected. The puppy that Carol brought was exactly what we had told her that we wanted: medium sized and very outgoing. When we got him home and took him to the vet, the very was so impressed with him, his health, and his features that he asked if it would be alright to tell a friend of his about our puppy to potentially set up a future mate.
All of our expectations were not just only met, but they were exceeded. The entire process that we went though with Carol was smooth and comfortable. Even now, we keep in contact with any questions we have about hi

I am a member of the American Bloodhound Club, The American Kennel Club and I am A Licensed Breeder in the State of Colorado, we are inspected by both the State and the American Kennel Club.
All of our pups ar eborn and raised in our home, they do not even go outside for the first time until several weeks old. They are sold with our contract which outlines the terms of the sale and also gives the pup a written genetic health guarantee. All pups are vet checked before they are even pictured on our web site or a deposit is taken. We are happy to share any and all information with you about us or our dogs. I have 25 year experience in breeding, showing and training. I have many many references that I am more than happy to share with you anytime, feel free to ask for them. All of our dogs have excellent bloodlines with many Import lines and Champion lines. WE also have strong SAR lines. We are happy to share pedigrees with you, just ask.
