Unique Working Rhodesian Ridgebacks
We, Kennel Rhinofields, are a registered member of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA) and we have five loyal working RR’s. We only breed once every 4-5 years to satisfy our family’s own animal companion needs. We take great pride in placing our RR’s in good homes. They become part of the family and make great family and hunting companions. Our dogs are intelligent, healthy, possesses a loving personality, have a great temperament and they receives lots of love and attention.
We are proud to offer a magnificent litter of puppies (5 males & 6 females) born 26 April 2011. With 24 years of experience as an ‘occasional breeder’ to satisfy mainly our own requirements, we feel it can't get any better than this! The parents of this litter have outstanding bloodlines that are both exceptional and renowned – they are healthy and very special ‘working’ and ‘loving’ RR’s.
The sire is from multi-generation champions. He is the most intelligent, courageous, sweet-natured, cuddly and warm-hearted dog and possesses proven natural tracking abilities.
The dam possesses a loving personality and has unique working abilities. She excels in tracking and follows a scent path very meticulously and with absolute accuracy and commitment.
The parents have been selected for their unique characteristics that have set them apart from the rest. These warm loving puppies are designed to perform, excel and please..., a wonderful combination.
Our observation of the parents characteristics, natural behavior and movement in the setting for which they were bred, are as follows:
- They are energetic, brave and always cheerful.
- They have a sensitive, passionate, sociable and happy nature.
- They are careful and very alert (important for survival).
- They have a brilliant 6th sense second to none – they will always sense danger approximately 2-3 minutes before our other three RR’s.
- They are natural retrievers and have abundance of play and prey drive.
- They show the complete repertoire of a hunting hound – they track down the game and predators, bring it to the hunter, and bay it carefully without compromise.
- They have an inborn hunting ability as well as a sociable and very friendly temperament.
- They are stable, confident, gentle, calm, independent, warm-hearted and self-respected.
- They are excellent guard dogs.
- They adore children and get along with other animals and with other dogs.
- They are very intelligent and self-confident that means they never had to fight. They solve problems with their brains.
- They will always ask their owner for his approval before engaging in action.
- They are utterly devoted, clever and charming – their beautiful bright sparkling eyes can make anybody's heart melt!
- They are agile, very fast, healthy, balanced, strong, well structured with lots of bone and muscles, and an attractive outline, superb powerful movement and proud in appearance.
- They react appropriately to danger with very good instincts. (They can handle danger elements like snakes, baboon, buffalo, elephant, rhino, etc. with ease.)
- Their strength is definitely their agility and movement. (They are extremely good in rock climbing.)
- They are truly magnificent dogs and in a different class of the rest.
