The father, jacob, is from german imports. He comes from two of the best german lineages which have basically all been tested for genetic issues and have won titles. Jacob is much larger than standard german shepherds. He stands 29 inches at the shoulder and weighs 100 pounds. Standards are no larger than 26 inches at the shoulder and dont weigh more than 86 pounds. I expect him to grow even more if he successfully mates. His father and grandfather are both 31 inches at the shoulder and weigh 130 pounds. Jacob is black and red in coloration which in germany is the most desirable coloration.
The mother, kappa, is a solid white german shepherd, but she is NOT albino. Albinos do not have pigmentation in their eyes, nose, etc. The white german shepherd has brown eyes, a black nose and eyelashes. Kappa is from american lines which some people prefer to the german lines because they think that they have a more refined, regal appearance while the germans have a more rugged one.
Although white german shepherds are registered by the akc, and was once shown inside of the show ring, the akc has decided that a white german shepherd is not an acceptable color variation. They claim that the white dog is white because it has the albino gene in it, which will cause it to be defected. The akc thinks this, because of dogs such as dalmations have so many health issues. Studies show that the white german shepherd is far healthier than its colored counterparts and has no linkage to the albino gene. To confirm these statements you can look up the white german shepherd club of america. The cool thing about tge white german shepherd is that the FIRST ever german shepherd registered by the akc in the 1800s was a WHITE dog.
Jacob and kappa are in the process of mating, currently, but will continue to do so for the next few days. They have not had a successful mating or tie, yet, because both dogs are virgins, but we are hoping to witness one soon. If this mating proves to be unsuccessful, we will try again at kappa's next heat in 6 months.
If they have a successful mating, then i will forward that information out as soon as possible, followed by the results of a pregnancy test.
If a pregnancy occurs, we intend to sell the puppies at $700 with limited akc registration while puppies with full registration will cost $1000.
Limited registration means that the dog is registered by the akc, but with stipulations. A dog with limited registration is able to perform endurance competitions such as agility and competitions in obedience. If a dog with limited registration were to have a litter, the entire litter will NOT be registered by the akc. The dog is required to be nuetered/spayed by a certain time period in order to receive registration papers. The sales contract for people purchasing a puppy with limited registration from us is to not alter the dog before their year mark. Scientific study shows that if a dog is altered before their year mark then they will not grow to their fullest potential. After the year mark, the dog must be altered and i will need a copy of the documentation for my own records before i forward out your dog's registration papers.
Full registration means that the new owner of the dog will have full access to breeding rights and is able to show the dog in a ring. Full registered dogs are also able to compete in endurance and obedience training. The akc, however, will not register a litter from dogs with full registration if a litter is conceived if either or both dogs are 8 months of age or younger. It is not necessary for the owner of a puppy with full registration to alter the dog, but it is that owners decision. It will, however, be present in the sales contract that you will not alter the dog before its year mark, to give the dog adequate time to reach its potential.
The puppies are reserved at a first come, first serve basis. To reserve a puppy, you will need to send a non-refundable deposit. If you find that you are unable to take a puppy, i will move your reservation to a future litter, but it remains
