A Schnauzer Gigante is the perfect dog for a family with small children. They are very social, empathetic, intelligent, playful, powerful and have a lot of energy. A Schnauzer gigante is very loyal to its owners and guard their entrusted territory well and never bark without reason. This deters unwanted people from entering a property. It is important to note that a Schnauzer needs plenty of space and exercise. Daily walks and/or a large property are very important. Elaborate is the care of the coat. A bath and a haircut is necessary every one to two months. However, Schnauzers shed very little hair and are quiet inside the house.
