What put this up there for misinformed judge award was that the XYZ in question is PREFERRED in the breed standard. Whoops!For juniors (my kids all showed juniors)1) The judge who cenommted unfavorably that a child didn't hand stand a breed that is NEVER hand stacked in the ring.2) the judge who cenommted that the kid should have held the tail out (like a sporting dog) on a working breed!and the winner is (this was not my kid):The kid that had to teach a bedlington to hand stack square (fyi bedlingtons are one of the few breeds where the front legs are stacked together a tripod, not foursquare). The poor dog had to balance very unnaturally that way for juniors, as judges didn't realize what correct and incorrect was for the breed. |
