Re: | Manchester Terrier Puppy Wanted | Ad: | There are two reasons why you are fdining your tickets to be wildly expensive:1) You're looking for a round trip ticket with a stay of close to a year. Most of the cheaper tickets only allow maximum stays of 30 to 60 days longer stays mean higher fares.2) You're trying to buy a ticket in advance for a time (December 2010) when tickets just aren't available yet. Most airlines only sell their tickets 11 months (330 days) or so in advance, so to build that round-trip combination, it appears that the travel agent is trying to sell you two one-ways (one for a fixed date in January, and one with an open return in December) to get what you need.Given the parameters of what you're trying to accomplish, I don't think you'll get the price down as low as you want. The likeliest way you're going to be able to do it is to buy two return tickets one for January, from the UK to Bolivia and back, and one for December, from Argentina back to the UK and returning to Argentina, and simply throw away the halves of the tickets you won't be using. Technically, this is against airline rules, but it's unlikely that you'll be caught doing it as long as it doesn't become a habit. |
