Language teachers are usually the worst offenders, though at least they've got some excuse; too many others are guilty of missing out apostrophes (or adding unnecessary ones). As for History and English teachers, they tend to over-indulge their natural proclivity towards flowery prose. So take that with a pinch of salt too.
