Re: | Standard Schnauzer Breeder Wanted | Ad: | Current we're the parents of a Miniature salt and peppered, Schnauzer, her name is Maxine. We purchased Maxi as a puppy from our Japanese housekeeper in 2003 while we were living in Japan. She's the joy and love of our "empty nesting" lives and is full of personality. We just love conversing we Maxi, she's a riot.
We would like to get a playmate for Maxi because our neighbor's dog, a long haired Daushound puppy, came through our fence while Maxi and I were outside hanging out the clothes. I thought she might mistake it for a rat and kill the poor thing BUT she was gentle, happy, and so excited to have a friend to play with. Maxi has been spayed however her ears are not cropped. She's kept inside our home and even has her own personalized bed embroidered with a picture of her breed and her name. She enjoys her monthly trip to the groomers.
We would prefer to rescue a female Standard Schnauzer; however, we are set on having a puppy because of concerns about conflicts between a smaller schnauzer (Maxi) who's been with us since the beginning and a larger full-grown female who may intimidate Maxi. We would prefer for her to take on the role of a mother to a puppy.
Although we live in Puerto Rico where the culture does not revere animals... we are Mainlanders living here as Department of Education employees and have taken our "family members" (pets) with us ever time we've ever moved.
We will be so excited to find another Schnauzer to be a "sibling" to Maxi.
Sincerely,
Erik and Susan Swanson
