Country of Origin:
Although earlier identified as three separate breeds the first Belgian Shepherd Dogs were imported into the United States in the early 1900's. , when U.K.C. registered the Belgian Shepherd Dog in 1991, they were once again united as a single breed with four distinct varieties.
Character:
The Belgian Shepherd is energetic, lively and eager to work.
Temperment:
This breed gets along well with children but is shy around strangers it also gets along well with other pets especially if socialized early in its life.
Coat:
Long - haired coat with undercoat.
Care
Excessive combing or brushing can damage the undercoat. Only light combing is required during shedding.
Colour:
Black, Black.White, rich fawn to russet mahogany or distinctly grey
