But then again in this country we voted for Bush twice and have since voted for Obama twice (who was actually in a position to do something and he missed his chance), thus proving to the world that while we don't go around blowing people up due to a misguided understanding of an unreasonable religion we don't really care to learn in case we have to change our behavior, as a rule most Americans can sometimes understand reason on a very small scale but when something gets big we lose our ability to reason and as a group make really stupid decisions we complain about after.
