Oct. 20). His wife was called a â??whoreâ? and he was called a â??cracker,â? yet only one of the teenagers is being charged with a bias crime. The wife was dragged out of the car by a 12-year-old girl, who proceeded to slam her head into the pavement. This was not front-page news? But a young black man is on the cover for being â??Busted at Barneys for being Blackâ? (Oct. 23). I guess Iâ??ll make it a point not to drive around my old neighborhood while Iâ??m in Brooklyn. Itâ??s a sad world we live in. Maybe next time these youth should ask themselves â??what ifâ? it was their parents in the car and a group of white kids did this. Maybe they would think twice, then.
