In the Middle East, they only take one day off per month. I would think that we had really achieved something in training, and then he’d say, “Let’s do another two hours.” Sometimes I would be bleeding from my shoulder and cheek because of the heat and the rubbing from the wood on the shotgun butt. Plus I would have blisters on my hand. But it paid off.
