The American Foxhound is a breed of dog that is cousin to the English Foxhound. They are scent hounds, bred to hunt by scent. They have a long muzzle, and a large, domed skull. Character:
A friendly and calm breed that does well in the home, though traditionally it has not been a house pet.
Temperment:
Enjoys the company of other dogs and people, though somewhat reserved around strangers.
Coat:
A medium length coat with tight, hard hair
All of the possible colors are allowed.
Care
Brush occassionally to clear out dead hairs.
Colour:
Any color is acceptable, however they should have a close, hard, hound coat of medium length.
