Character: This dog bonds very closely to its family. It is watchful, protective, and playful.

Temperment: Irish Terriers may want to fight other dogs, and need to be taught not to chase cats when young. They are friendly toward people and love children.

Coat: Outer coat is hard, but soft underneath.

Care Hand-plucking of the hairs is necessary twice a year. Excessive hair around the pads of the feet must be trimmed and the ears must be kept clean.

Colour: Red to red wheaten

Comments: Fun loving, energetic companions that can be stubborn, but are willing to please once you've gained their loyalty. Their rollicking devil-may-care personality has made this dog very popular. The breed is sensitive and does not react well to harsh .
